The need for Battlefield Protection Systems

Modern warfare, as seen in Ukraine and Gaza, has become increasingly intense and lethal. A wide array of threats-including anti-tank weapons, drones, and loitering munitions-has heightened attrition rates and battlefield dangers.

These conflicts also highlight the industrial scale of modern wars, where armored vehicles and, most critically, human lives are not easily replaced. Protecting troops and assets remains a priority, driving the growing procurement of active and passive protection systems, particularly active protection systems (APS).

Although technological challenges initially slowed APS adoption, lessons from recent conflicts are accelerating their integration. Cost remains a concern for many users, but modular solutions offer flexible, budget-conscious options.
