Aechelon Technology Inc. announced today that prime contractor CymSTAR has awarded Aechelon a contract for the Marine Common Aircrew Trainer (MCAT) Tech Refresh Program for a large number of Image Generators and Databases based in Arizona, North Carolina, California, and Japan to meet the United States Marine Corps’ (USMC) aviation training requirements.

USMC aircrew has the capability to train rear cabin aerial gunnery, combat search and rescue, and vertical replenishment for three different platforms in one trainer: CH-53E Super Stallion, UH-1Y Venom, and MV-22B Osprey. Each system features an extraordinarily high channel count, modernized in more compact configurations to the mission-proven pC-NOVA Nucleus™ 8-GPU Image Generator units.
