SRC Awarded $25M Contract for US Army Range Radar Replacement Program

The U.S. military has awarded SRC, Inc. a $25 million contract to develop the Long-Range Radar, a large instrumentation radar that will be used for range safety, research, development, test and evaluation of systems on Army test ranges.

The contract is a part of the U.S. Army’s ongoing Range Radar Replacement Program. The program is intended to provide the Army’s test ranges with new radars, equipped with improved testing capabilities and reduced life-cycle costs, by developing and deploying modern radar designs. It also will be used to evaluate capabilities and limitations of critical Army equipment. This system is critical to supporting the current Army test ranges as well as preparing for future conflicts.

"SRC is honored to be part of the Range Radar Replacement Program and help ensure our military is outfitted with the best tools to prepare for new and emerging threats," said Kevin Hair, president and CEO of SRC. "We look forward to delivering an innovative system that supports the Army's testing capabilities and evaluation needs."
