General Dynamics Mission Systems’ Progeny Systems announced today that it was awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract by the U.S. Navy worth up to $108.9 million to provide information assurance and reliability monitoring system software builds for the service branch’s submarines. This potential five-year contract has a one-year base period and a base amount of approximately $20.4 million.
Work will be performed in Virginia and Rhode Island and is expected to conclude in December 2024 and would run through December 2028 if all options are exercised.
Progeny Systems was acquired by General Dynamics Mission Systems in 2022. Headquartered in Manassas, Va., Progeny Systems provides a wide spectrum of capabilities and lifecycle support services for U.S. submarines and surface ships.
