Milestone Signs Lease Agreements with HeliService for 4 Helicopters

The Milestone Aviation Group Limited (“Milestone”), the global leader in helicopter leasing, announced today that it has signed lease agreements for four Leonardo helicopters with HeliService International (“HeliService”), a market leader in offshore helicopter transportation.

The agreements include the placement of two Leonardo AW139 helicopters, the first of which was recently delivered, while the second is scheduled to deliver in April 2023. Both aircraft will operate for HeliService’s offshore wind farm operations in the German Bight, the southeastern region of the North Sea.

In addition, Milestone completed a financing agreement for two new Leonardo AW169 helicopters which are scheduled to deliver mid-year 2023. The aircraft will provide offshore services in support of wind projects in Taiwan.

“We are very pleased to welcome HeliService as a new customer. Offshore wind is an exciting growth area for helicopter leasing, and we are delighted to be able to support HeliService as they expand their fleet and services,” said Sebastien Moulin, the Head of Europe & Americas, Milestone Aviation. “We look forward to a long and successful relationship with HeliService.”

Oliver Freiland, CEO of HeliService, said, “We would like to thank Milestone for supporting HeliService. The Taiwanese offshore wind market is one of the key global growth markets for offshore wind. Helicopters are a crucial element in meeting this growth in demand given the vital role they play in ensuring the maintenance of offshore wind turbines, particularly in the harsh sea conditions of Taiwan.”
