Berniq Airways Selects CFM LEAP-1A Engines to Power its 1st A320neo Fleet

Berniq Airways places a firm order for 12 CFM LEAP-1A engines for six Airbus A320neo family aircraft

Berniq Airways announced today its first order for CFM LEAP-1A engines to power a new fleet of six Airbus A320neo family aircraft. The agreement, signed during a ceremony attended by Berniq Airways and CFM executives, covers 12 LEAP-1A engines, spare engines, and a multi-year services contract.

Berniq Airways is a private airline based in Benghazi, Libya. Established in 2018 and officially launched in 2021, Berniq Airways has quickly expanded its network, by offering flights to domestic and international destinations. The airline currently operates a fleet of Airbus A320ceo aircraft powered by CFM56-5B engines.
