On 21 June 2022 at 10.45 am, ATR Chief pilot Cyril Cizabuiroz, Jean-Pierre Marre, co-pilot, and Pascal Daussin, Flight Test Mechanic, took off from Malmo Airport in southern Sweden for the first flight ever on a Braathens commercial aircraft with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel in both engines.
The flight lasted approximately 1 hour 20 minutes and landed at Bromma Airport near Stockholm.
Cyril Cizabuiroz commented: “From the flight crew perspective, there are no differences. So for a standard crew, using 100% SAF will be a standard operation as soon as it is certified.”
