Van Halteren Technologies and COMMIT Collaborate on F-35

Van Halteren Technologies and Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT), part of the Netherlands Ministry of Defence, have entered into an agreement for the development and delivery of a Weapon Loading Rehearsal Trainer (WLRT) for the F-35 fighter aircraft.

The WLRT is a full-scale replica of the F-35, designed to provide ground crews with a realistic and safe environment to practice weapon loading procedures. This advanced training system replicates key components of the F-35, such as the internal weapon bays, the external pylons on the aircraft’s wings, and interfaces for the cannon and countermeasures, enabling personnel to train for loading bombs and missiles without using an operational aircraft.

By offering a controlled and highly accurate training setup, the WLRT helps improve efficiency, reduce operational risks, and ensure that ground personnel are fully prepared for their critical tasks. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of Van Halteren Technologies and COMMIT to deliver innovative solutions that strengthen the readiness of the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force.
