Peraton Wins NETCOM Global Cyber Center Contract To Strengthen Army's Cyber Defenses

Peraton is proud to announce its recent award of the $196 million Global Cyber Center (GCC) contract supporting U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM). This win marks a major milestone in advancing the Army’s digital modernization efforts and enhancing our nation’s global cyber defense posture.

“This work is about enabling mission readiness, protecting national security, and delivering resilient, real-time cyber capabilities to the warfighter,” said Tom Afferton, president, Cyber Mission Sector, Peraton. “We are honored to support NETCOM and the Global Cyber Center as they protect the Army’s digital frontlines.”

The GCC serves as the Army’s premier cyber operations and security hub under the operational and administrative control of NETCOM. The GCC operates 24/7 and coordinates with the activities of Regional Cyber Centers, enabling global mission command and defending networks across the Army enterprise.

Under this contract, Peraton will consolidate and streamline defensive cyber operations in support of the GCC’s mission. This includes operating and securing the Army’s NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments, sustaining enterprise-level infrastructure, and supporting software, hardware, applications, tools, and systems across the DoDIN. The contract also encompasses support for key nodes such as the GCC Point of Presence (PoP) for Southwest Asia and future global mission expansion, including potential surges in support for emerging operational requirements.

As part of the mission, Peraton will provide personnel and comprehensive services to manage and operate the Army’s Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) systems helping to secure and run one of the largest, most complex IT networks in the world. This work spans hundreds of thousands of users and systems, including maintaining both classified and unclassified networks (SIPRNet and NIPRNet), managing software, hardware, data, applications, tools, and systems across the enterprise networks.

Peraton brings more than a decade of direct experience supporting Army cyberspace initiatives and has partnered with Army cyber stakeholders, including NETCOM and ARCYBER, since 2012. This award further reinforces Peraton’s commitment to helping the government maintain a secure and responsive cyber environment in an increasingly complex threat landscape. Through strong public-private partnerships, contractors can help the government defend the nation’s digital assets and ensure that U.S. military forces remain agile and secure in cyberspace. By partnering with NETCOM and the Global Cyber Center, Peraton will play a key role in sustaining and evolving the Army’s digital backbone.
