On Wednesday, October 22, Michael Humbek, Managing Director of Dynamit Nobel Defence, the Latvian Ministry of Defense, and the National Center for Defense Logistics signed the contract for the delivery of the Skorpion 2 mine-laying system.

“The purchase of the mine-laying system is a strategic step toward strengthening our country’s defense capabilities. It is an essential part of a broader plan to strengthen the security and defense of Latvia’s eastern border. These investments ensure that Latvia is prepared to defend its territory and population against any type of threat,” emphasizes Defense Minister Andris Spruds.

The agreement covers the delivery of the Skoprion 2 mine-laying system, its ammunition, AT2+ anti-tank mines, and other system-related equipment. In addition, training for personnel to work with the systems is included.
