Framework Agreement for Shoulder-Fired Weapons

After the budget committee of the German parliament had approved the corresponding bill, the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) concluded a framework agreement with Dynamit Nobel Defence for the manufacture and supply of launchers and cartridges for our RGW90 family of weapons as well as cartridges for the Panzerfaust 3 family.

The framework agreement concluded on 12 February 2025 will enable Bundeswehr to procure large quantities of various munition types of DND shoulder-fired weapons in the coming years in order to ensure the Bundeswehr’s long-term operational readiness with these systems, which are key for dismounted combat.

From Dynamit Nobel Defence‘s perspective, the long-term framework agreement with the included firm order creates security on both sides and enables industry to maintain the required materiel and production capacities.

Together with the BAAINBw, we are pleased to have embarked on a reliable and at the same time flexible procurement path for our weapon families.
The developments on the battlefields in Eastern Europe demonstrate in a depressing way the necessity of fully equipping armed forces with powerful shoulder weapons. Dynamit Nobel Defence gladly accepts the responsibility of continuing to be a reliable supplier of these systems to the German Armed Forces and our allies in the years to come
