1st COMP@N-Z Radios Delivered to the Polish Armed Forces

The Polish Armed Forces have received the first batch of COMP@N-Z radios, manufactured by RADMOR, a WB GROUP company. The COMP@N-Z is only the second military communication system in the history of Polish military radiocommunication to obtain a cryptographic protection certificate. Developed entirely by the WB GROUP, the radio is approved for handling classified information marked Restricted. The delivery marks a significant milestone in enhancing Poland’s technological sovereignty in the defense sector.

“From the beginning of our operations, our strategy has focused on developing proprietary solutions”, said Bartlomiej Zajac, the CEO of RADMOR. “Only our own products can be manufactured without restrictions, modified as needed, and exported freely. Nationally developed systems are the only guarantee of full national control over military communications and protection against unauthorized interference or remote deactivation”.

The introduction of the COMP@N-Z system into service strengthens Poland’s position as a manufacturer of modern communication systems that meet the highest security standards not only domestically but also within NATO and the European Union. The ability to independently produce radios is crucial given growing defense requirements and a shifting security environment.

The COMP@N-Z radio is a software-defined radio (SDR) featuring advanced tactical communication capabilities. It has undergone a rigorous verification process that included the hardware, software, waveforms (which determine how information is processed, secured, and transmitted via the antenna), and systems for managing and generating cryptographic documents.

No foreign supplier of equipment for the Polish Armed Forces can match such a comprehensive level of security certification and compliance with Polish requirements. This accomplishment highlights the exceptional competencies of WB GROUP engineers and reflects years of consistent investment in building Poland’s technological independence.

The COMP@N-Z system includes the H09-Z/1 handheld radio, which utilizes BMS IP and W2FH waveforms designed for enhanced resistance to interference. A critical component is its secure transmission system, enabling classified voice and data communication in compliance with SCIP/STACiS (STANAG 5068) and NINE (STANAG 4787) standards.

Beyond the SDR H-09-Z/1 handheld radio, the COMP@N-Z system comprises the V09-Z/1 vehicle radio, a Radio Network Planning System, a Cryptographic Data Management and Generation System, and a comprehensive range of accessories, including chargers, power supplies, adapters, amplifiers, antennas, handsets, speakers, and control units.

The COMP@N-Z communication system enables processing of classified information up to the national Restricted level / NATO & EU Restricted, as confirmed by a certificate issued by the Polish Military Counterintelligence Service on 12 June 2025. The radio supports both secure and unclassified voice communication, as well as secure data transmission.

The Radio Network Planning System allows the planning and organization of communications within command and cooperation networks at the tactical level – from brigade level downward. Meanwhile, the Cryptographic Data Management and Generation System handles the initialization and personalization of radios, generation and preparation of cryptographic data, and management of the radios’ lifecycle.
