"The CAVS programme has been moved forward quickly and promptly under the leadership of Finland and the excellent cooperation between Patria and the countries participating in the programme. The joint programme enables the development of the Patria 6x6 vehicle platform as well as the cost-effectiveness of life-cycle support, quick procurement and equipment compatibility, strengthening defense cooperation in Europe. The EDIRPA funding received now will promote the programme even further”, says Jussi Järvinen, Executive Vice President of Patria’s Finland Division.

Within the CAVS programme, the 6x6 armoured vehicle system development is led by Patria, that has more than four decades of experience in developing and delivering state-of-the-art protected troop transportation and system integration. Vast majority of supply of the vehicles is conducted by utilising the member nations’ local industry capabilities and every new nation is inherently reinforcing the security of supply for the whole collaboration system. Patria has already received orders for over 750 Patria 6x6 vehicles.
