Cooperation on Non-flammable Electrolyte for eCTOL Aircraft

Vaeridion GmbH, a Munich based company that is accelerating the green transformation of aviation with a small battery electric aircraft that will be certified and delivered before 2030, and Innolith AG, a Basel and Bruchsal based company that develops innovative inorganic electrolyte technology, have decided to cooperate on the development and testing of battery technology that meet certification requirements for the application in eCTOL aircraft.

"The I-STATE technology offers what many Air Mobility companies are looking for. It delivers both high energy and power together with superior safety and operating temperatures capabilities vs. conventional li-ion without inflating the costs. We are delighted to cooperate with an innovative partner like VÆRIDION, bringing electrified air mobility to the next level.“
Eng. Markus Borck – Chief Engineer – Innolith

“Inorganic electrolytes are a key enabler for Regional Air Mobility, using energy efficient eCTOL Aircraft such as the VÆRIDION Microliner. We are delighted to cooperate with Innolith, joining forces with their capabilities in innovative electrolytes that bear opportunities in thermal runaway compliance demonstration.”
Dr. Sebastian Seemann – Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder – VÆRIDION
