Australian Service Centers Now Able To Service And Support All In-Country Cessna, Beechcraft And Hawker Turbine Aircraft Models

Textron Aviation  today announced its Australian company-owned  Premiair Aviation  service centers can now service and support all in-country Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker turbine aircraft models. These additional service approvals enable Premiair to provide owners and operators throughout Australia access to enhanced convenience and quality customer support at its three locations.

Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, strengthened its Asia Pacific service offerings in early 2020 with the Textron Inc. acquisition of Premiair, a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) service provider, with bases in the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth, Australia, further expanding its global support network of company-owned service centers dedicated to providing exceptional customer service throughout the world.

Several Textron Aviation aircraft models were added to Premiair’s roster of approved types for service and support across all its locations, which now includes all Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker turboprop and jet aircraft models currently in operation in Australia. Model approval was received from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

"We have significantly invested in employee training and equipment over the last year to expand our capabilities and ensure CASA approval for the full range of Cessna Citation, Cessna Caravan and Beechcraft King Air aircraft in Australia, said Bradley Mortimer, general manager, Premiair Service Centers. Today marks an exciting milestone in the Premiair journey. It demonstrates our ongoing dedication to delivering exceptional quality and seamless support to customers in Australia."

The certificate of approval also includes non-type rated piston or turbine aircraft not exceeding 5,700-kg (12,566-lb) as well as piston or turbine engine helicopters not exceeding 3,175-kg (6,999-lb). This covers the majority of general aviation aircraft types actively flown and operated in Australia.

“Premiair will continue to pursue new certifications, add technical capabilities and expand its MRO capabilities,” continued Mortimer. “This is part of Textron Aviation’s continued investment in the Asia Pacific region aimed at delivering the best aviation experience to our customers.”

Textron Aviation leads the APAC market with approximately 1,400 aircraft operating in the region and an installed base nearly five times as large as the closest competitor. Australia is one of the company’s largest markets with more than 50 new turbine deliveries between 2013 and 2020 – Australia alone is Textron Aviation’s fourth largest turboprop market. Due to the company’s strength in the country, Textron Aviation turboprop deliveries comprised nearly 70 percent of all general aviation turboprop deliveries in APAC from 2013-2020.

Textron Aviation offers factory-direct service and support throughout the entire ownership experience. Through a global network staffed with nearly 3,000 employees, customers have direct access to a team of expert service representatives offering maintenance, inspections, parts, repairs, avionic upgrades, equipment installations, refurbishments and other specialized services. Textron Aviation manages a fleet of nearly 70 mobile service units (MSU), Go Teams stationed across the world that can be mobilized to respond to maintenance events by contacting 1CALL and a team of AOG specialists providing prioritized service and support during unscheduled maintenance events.
