A New Era for Mexicana: Introducing the E2

Mexicana is preparing to welcome its first E2. This marks an exciting milestone, as Mexicana becomes the first operator of the E2 in Mexico. With a firm order for 20 aircraft – a mix of E190-E2s and E195-E2s, Mexicana is strategically investing in its future. The E190-E2 will be configured with 108 seats, while the E195-E2 will feature 132 seats. Both variants will offer a comfortable single-class layout.

For Mexicana, the order represents a transformative step forward in its fleet renewal and modernization strategy. Currently serving 14 destinations in the country, the airline is poised to use the E2’s range and exceptional fuel efficiency to strengthen domestic connectivity and expand into new markets.

The arrival of the E2 will also provide Mexicana’s customers with an enhanced cabin experience. With no middle seats, a wide aisle, and a dedicated space for every passenger’s carry-on bag, the cabin is intelligently designed for comfort and accessibility.
