Collins Aerospace enhances MRO services for USAF with new Enterprise Partnering Agreement

  • Umbrella agreement provides USAF streamlined approach to access Collins Aerospace's broad military portfolio
  • Enables the company's six Strategic Business Units to implement agreements with all USAF Air Logistics Complex entities
  • Critical milestone for the public-private relationship

Collins Aerospace Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp., (NYSE: UTX), announced it has signed an Enterprise Partnering Agreement with the United States Air Force (USAF) which will serve as an umbrella agreement for all sustainment services with the company’s six Strategic Business Units (SBU). The SBU’s are Avionics, Aerostructures, Interiors, Mechanical Systems, Mission Systems and Power & Controls.

This new, simplified approach enables the Collins Aerospace SBU’s to create implementation agreements with all USAF entities for maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations. Through this collaboration Collins Aerospace will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the operational requirements for managing the lifecycle value stream across multiple product portfolios. This collaboration likewise enables the Air Force to access Collins Aerospace’s commercial capabilities and technical data to support enhanced turnaround times and improve mission readiness.

“This Enterprise Partnering Agreement deepens our already strong relationship with the U.S. Air Force,” said Ajay Agrawal, president, Aftermarket Services, Collins Aerospace. “This simplified approach to collaborating will enable all of Collins Aerospace’s businesses to better anticipate and deliver on the needs and requirements of this important customer. This agreement allows us to work with the Air Force and implement the proven tools and practices we use to keep our commercial customers flying every day.”
