Tempus Applied Solutions Awarded US Africa Command Contract

Tempus to provide fixed and rotary wing services to US AFRICOM

Tempus Applied Solutions (Tempus) announced today that the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAF) division has selected the company as one of seven awardees of a five-year blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for airlift service in North and West Africa (NWA).

Under the contract, Tempus Jets Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tempus, will compete with other awardees to answer AFRICOM task orders for fixed and rotary wing services throughout Northwest Africa, including countries such as Mali, Senegal, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and Algeria. Tempus would provide services in a variety of company-owned and operated aircraft, including a Pilatus PC-12, Gulfstream III and Cessna Caravan.

AFRICOM requests for service could begin as early as May 2016 and extend more than five years and beyond. Tempus anticipates that there will be opportunities to substantially grow the amount of services provided to AFRICOM in coming years.
