Meggitt Training Systems Demos Live Fire Range Systems

Meggitt Training Systems will be in Abu Dhabi for IDEX 2015 showcasing its latest product advancements for indoor and outdoor live fire ranges. Meggitt staff will be onsite to discuss infantry and armored target system solutions to support both skills qualifications training and more complex unit collective training. Meggitt’s indoor range equipment also will be on display, including the XWT GEN3 wireless target retrieval system with touchscreen range control.

“IDEX is an important show for Meggitt,” said Jonathan Read, vice president, live fire systems at Meggitt Training Systems. “With a full-time dedicated team in Abu Dhabi, we are able to successfully address the region’s unique training requirements. Early engagement ensures our customers receive the most effective range design, equipment and installation, delivering valuable training capabilities now and into the future.”

With more than 75,000 live-fire target systems installed on 122 military bases around the world, Meggitt Training Systems is the only manufacturer of both live fire and virtual training systems, providing a dedicated team for design and on-site installation. While virtual marksmanship and judgmental training systems like Meggitt’s FATS® M100 and BlueFire® wireless weaponry remain in demand throughout the Middle East, the region has seen an increase in requests for indoor and outdoor live fire range designs and systems.
