$31.7 M USMC Contract for Meggitt Small Arms Trainer

Meggitt PLC ("Meggitt" or "the Group"), a leading international company specialising in high performance components and sub-systems for the aerospace, defence and energy markets, announces that Meggitt Training Systems has won a $31.7 million contract for indoor simulated marksmanship training systems from the US Marine Corps (USMC).

The five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract covers the design, development, installation and support for some 670 systems and weapon simulators at US Marine Corps facilities at home and abroad.

Meggitt Chief Executive, Stephen Young commented: “Following our $99 million small arms trainer award for the US Army announced in 2014, this second major contract reinforces our product’s system-of-record status.
