L2 Consulting Services, Inc. (L2) is pleased to announce that the company has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC-424-TYO) from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) for the installation of the Iridium Satellite Communications System on Boeing 737-700/-800 aircraft. The original Federal Aviation Administration Supplemental Type Certificate (ST10928SC) was certified by L2 for both the ICG NxtLink ICS-220A and Rockwell Collins IRT-2120 Iridium Satcom systems.
Dean Rudolph, L2 Vice President of Operations, said, "L2 now holds FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, CAAC and JCAB approvals for our modular, multiple configuration 737 Satcom solution."
L2 developed the engineering, produced the installation kits and managed the JCAB STC regulatory process to ensure a successful integration for the Japanese operator.
