In a significant stride towards addressing traffic congestion and bolstering integrated situational awareness, Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has selected Saab to enhance its Digital Apron Management Center with a comprehensive suite of surveillance solutions. This decision not only marks a breakthrough for Saab in the Latin American market but also underscores LAP's commitment to efficient apron management for enhanced safety, capacity, and operational efficiency.
Saab’s state-of-the-art surveillance system includes a fully integrated platform featuring ADS-B surveillance sensors, the Aerobahn surface management system, TactiCall voice communications integration, and Digital Towers equipped with high-definition cameras, ensuring a thorough digital visualisation of the airport’s surface. "Taking full ownership of apron management and implementing a full range of technologies to promote maximum situation awareness will significantly enhance Lima’s airport’s safety, efficiency, and capacity. Saab is proud to equip LAP’s Digital Apron Management Center, demonstrating our global leadership in surveillance sensors, data processing, and digital towers. LIM airport is surely an example to be followed by airport operators and major carriers willing to take a step forward,” says Sergio Martins, Director, Saab ATM & Surveillance Radars for Latin America.
