Government of Canada Selects MAS for Strategic Tanker Fleet Sustainment

The Government of Canada has awarded MAS, an L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) company, two contracts with an initial combined value of approximately $1.1 billion to provide aircraft fleet sustainment and materiel support for this capability, aligned with Canada’s defence priorities, including Arctic sovereignty and allied operations.

Under the 10-year maintenance contract and seven-year material contract, the MAS team in Mirabel will support the fleet of nine Royal Canadian Air Force CC-330 Husky multi-role Tanker and Transport aircraft, with options to extend both contracts to 20 years. The company already provides mission systems and sustainment for Canada’s military aircraft fleets.

“Our work will enhance Canada’s readiness for global challenges by enhancing the Royal Canadian Air Force’s ability to conduct in-flight refueling, strategic transport, medical evacuations and other critical missions,” said Ugo Paniconi, General Manager, MAS, L3Harris. “This award extends our commitment to delivering innovative and reliable solutions through the efforts of our 1,000 Canadian employees to meet Canada’s defence needs.”
