Kopin Corporation (NASDAQ: KOPN) a leading provider of application-specific optical systems and high-performance microdisplays for defense, training, enterprise, industrial, consumer and medical products, today announced it has secured a new $3.6 million purchase order for an advanced avionic helmet mounted display ("HMD") system to be integrated into a rotary wing military aircraft platform for a European defense customer.
The HMD system will serve as a critical component of the aircraft's pilot interface, delivering flight symbology, navigation cues, aircraft status, and weapon system information directly into the pilot's line of sight. By projecting essential data onto a high brightness, high clarity display, the system enhances situational awareness, reduces cockpit workload, and supports safer, more efficient mission execution in demanding operational environments.
Deliveries under this multi year award will occur over a five year period beginning in 2026, reflecting the long term production and sustainment needs of the platform.
