Southern Launch Signs Contract to Host Space Missions for Leading South Korean Launch Service Provider INNOSPACE

Leading space mission service provider Southern Launch has signed South Korean launch service provider INNOSPACE to conduct space missions from the Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex and the Koonibba Test Range.

This strategic partnership enables INNOSPACE to conduct a diverse range of missions from Southern Launch sites, including orbital satellite launches and suborbital technology demonstrations. 

Beginning in 2026 and continuing for at least the next decade, this agreement strengthens South Australia’s position as an emerging global hub for space innovation.

INNOSPACE has emerged as a key player in the global launch market, achieving several major milestones. The company became the first private South Korean firm to successfully launch the test launch vehicle ‘HANBIT-TLV’ in 2023. Building on this achievement, the company has continued to advance its technological capabilities, including the qualified engines for orbital missions, while expanding discussions with customers on future launch opportunities.

This contract signing with INNOSPACE demonstrates Southern Launch’s capacity to deliver infrastructure that supports high cadence missions across sub-orbital and orbital launch, orbital re-entry for the global space industry.
