Navantia Will Start the Definition Phase of the New Intelligence Ship for the Spanish Navy

The Council of Ministers has approved the start of the definition phase for the future Intelligence Ship (BAM AGI) for the Spanish Navy, which will replace the Alerta A-111, as it nears the end of its operational life.

This phase consists of carrying out engineering studies through which a naval platform will be defined, with capacity for intelligence gathering and conducting electronic warfare operations in a maritime environment.

This vessel, which is part of the Industrial and Technological Plan for Security and Defence, will provide the Navy with advanced capabilities for signal interception, cyber defence, and naval electronic warfare.
