Milrem Robotics Launches the HAVOC RCV in Europe at DSEI 2025

Milrem Robotics, the leading robotics and autonomous ground system developer, officially launches its groundbreaking HAVOC 8×8 Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) in Europe at DSEI 2025. This milestone follows the vehicle’s acclaimed unveiling at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi and signals the start of a new era in hybrid-electric robotic combat capability on the continent.

The HAVOC RCV has been designed to deliver exceptional performance on the modern battlefield, combining hybrid electric propulsion with advanced autonomy for unmatched speed, agility, and stealth. Capable of reaching 110 km/h on roads and maintaining 50 km/h off-road, the HAVOC offers an operational range of up to 600 km. It weighs 15 tons without payload and is built to negotiate steep gradients, vertical steps, and fording streams, making it highly adaptable to various European terrains and climate conditions. Its pivot steering allows for tight manoeuvrability, while the unified autonomy system—compatible with Milrem’s entire product range—ensures efficient integration, streamlined logistics, and reduced lifecycle costs.

At DSEI 2025, the HAVOC RCV features the PROTECTOR Medium Calibre Turret from KONGSBERG and C-UAS missiles from Frankenburg Technologies. Equipped with a high-rate 30 mm cannon that provides accurate and reliable firepower across various operational scenarios, along with a cost-effective air defence system, the HAVOC greatly improves offensive capabilities and fulfils the requirements of both reconnaissance and strike missions.

“With the launch of the HAVOC RCV in Europe, we are delivering unmatched agility, stealth, and lethality,” said Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics. “The integration of Kongsberg’s MCT and Frankenburg’s missiles enhances its effectiveness across a range of mission profiles—from reconnaissance and force projection to precision strike.”

Patrick Shepherd, acting Chief Product Officer at Milrem Robotics, added: “HAVOC represents a new standard in unmanned ground combat systems. Its hybrid-electric propulsion, advanced autonomy, and expanded armament options reaffirm our commitment to delivering the most capable systems for modern European defence forces.”

The HAVOC benefits from Milrem’s combat-proven experience, including operational deployments of the THeMIS UGV in Ukraine. Lessons learned from these real-world engagements have shaped HAVOC’s development, leading to improved usability, resilient communications, and strong protection against electronic warfare threats. These battlefield-informed upgrades ensure that the HAVOC is not only technologically advanced but also operationally prepared for the complexities of European defence environments.

Milrem Robotics is the world’s foremost developer of robotics and autonomous systems, with offices in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, the US, and the UAE.

The company’s flagship, the THeMIS Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), is part of robotic programmes or in service across 19 countries. Milrem is also recognised for the HAVOC Robotic Combat Vehicle (RCV) and the MIFIK — the autonomous functionalities kit.

The company is also recognised for successfully completing the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) project iMUGS, which focused on developing a modular and scalable architecture for hybrid manned-unmanned systems. iMUGS2, the continuation of the first project, is currently in progress.
