Raytheon, an RTX (NYSE: RTX) business, signed an agreement with WZE to provide energy storage assembly modules for the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor, or LTAMDS, positioning WZE to become the first international supplier for the program.
LTAMDS full-sector sensing capabilities specifically address European threat scenarios – massive, coordinated attacks that feature a mix of threats including ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.
“This agreement is a big step toward establishing LTAMDS’ global supply chain,” said Tom Laliberty, president of Land & Air Defense Systems at Raytheon. “Poland is the first international country to complement the combat-proven Patriot with LTAMDS, providing extended-range and full, 360-degree coverage to detect and defend against complex, highly coordinated, multi-threat attack scenarios.”
