BAE Systems has joined GM Defense and their partner NP Aerospace – as team LionStrike – to offer the UK Ministry of Defence a mobility solution to rapidly modernise its ground vehicle fleet.
Team LionStrike will offer a combination of GM Defense’s world class vehicle portfolio, including commercial trucks, sport utility vehicles and their flagship Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) for the UK Ministry of Defence’s Land Mobility Programme. The Programme seeks to replace an aging fleet of military vehicles, with a focus on enhancing operational capabilities and cost efficiency.
BAE Systems is working with GM Defense to enhance and upgrade commercial trucks and sport utility vehicles for military use. In addition, the companies will work with NP Aerospace to ensure that the vehicles comply with UK operational requirements.
