HAVELSAN, a leading Turkish technology company delivering high-tech software and integrated system solutions in defense (especially C4ISR, command & control, simulation, and cybersecurity) and information technologies, with a strong global presence, and KAREL EUROPE, the Romania-based subsidiary of Karel—a company active in electronics, communication technologies, and the defense industry—have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair. This strategic partnership reinforces the commitment of both organizations to develop solutions based on advanced technologies in the defense sector and aims to provide integrated, high-tech solutions to meet the needs of the Romanian defense industry.
Under the signed MoU, the parties have agreed to carry out joint business development activities and collaborate operationally on projects in the fields of defense and information technologies.
Sevket Ünal, Vice President of International Business Development and Marketing at HAVELSAN, noted that last year, for the first time, the company exported its products to a European Union country, delivering high-tech solutions to Romania in the field of e-maritime. He stated:
