FMV, the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and Finnish Millog Oy have signed an armoured vehicle maintenance contract. The new agreement aims to deepen cooperation between Sweden and Finland and ensure the technical support for the use of for example Patria XA 202 platform based armoured all-terrain vehicles.
FMV procures, develops and supplies equipment and services for the Swedish Defence Forces. With the agreement, FMV and Swedish Defence Forces are able to take advantage of Millog’s expertise in maintenance and technical support. In addition, the contract enables use of the Finnish service chain in military exercises and operations outside Sweden.
– We are glad about the intensifying cooperation, which allows us to strengthen our joint defence. By means of the agreement we are able to support the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and the Swedish Defence Forces with our skills from within Finland, locally in Sweden as well as where ever support is needed, says Toni Piispa, Director of Millog Oy’s Authorities and Industry Business Unit.

As the security in the operating environment changes, also requirements for mobility and cooperation in Northern Europe are growing.
Patria’s armoured vehicles are particularly well suited to operating over large geographical areas, which is crucial for effective operations in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The contract means that the Swedish Defence Forces have better access to technical and logistical support throughout the northern region. It also strengthens the possibilities for the further development of specific applications for vehicle subsystems.
The agreement came into effect in spring 2025 and is part of the work of the Swedish Defence Materiel Agency to ensure the long-term operation, maintenance and development of critical defence equipment in close cooperation with its Nordic neighbours.
