Connectivity with other C2 systems up and down the chain of command will be ensured through SitaWare Headquarters and its support for a wide range of interoperability standards, open architecture design, and easy-to-use interfaces that support the easy exchange of data,” Michael Jungen, Business Development Manager at Systematic, said.
“The enhanced integration that SitaWare provides will help support European security through enhanced co-ordination and command-and-control of forces, allowing for rapid responses to security threats,” Jungen added.
The acquisition of a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software product will ensure that the entry into service will be rapid, and significantly de-risked. The wide number of users within Europe and the NATO alliance will continue to ensure that the lifespan of the software will continue for many years to come, with a number of significant capability enhancements already planned for 2024 and beyond.
Working in conjunction with Leonardo DRS, Systematic is also delivering a variety of services as part of the contract, including training and project and vehicle integration support.
