Successful Completion of Sea Trials for the Israeli Navy's New EW Counter Measure Dispensing System by Elbit

  • The new Counter Measure Dispensing System (DESEAVER MK-4) is the fourth generation to be installed by Elbit Systems onboard the Israeli Navy's vessels

The Israeli Navy and Elbit Systems have successfully completed a series of sea trials for the DESEAVER MK-4 Counter Measure Dispensing System (CMDS) onboard Israeli Navy vessels.

The trials tested the capability of the new maritime Electronic Warfare (EW) system to effectively respond to complex missile attack scenarios, including launching decoy rounds from several launchers against multiple concurrent threats.

The DESEAVER MK 4 is the fourth generation of EW dispensing systems to bring to a full effect the soft kill anti-missile defense capabilities as part of Elbit Systems’ Integrated Electronic Warfare Suite (IEWS).

Elbit Systems ISTAR and EW’s IEWS is operational across the Israeli Navy and additional international Naval Forces.

The DESEAVER MK 4 system provides perimeter protection against concurrent multiple missile threats from multiple directions. The system is comprised of several trainable and stabilized launchers that are capable of rapid and accurate placing and launching of decoys selected by the anti-missile algorithms. The system employs a range of passive and active decoys.

Similar to its predecessors, the fourth generation of the DESEAVER system is fully integrated with other ship combat systems.

Oren Sabag, General Manager of Elbit Systems ISTAR & EW: “We are proud of our ongoing cooperation with and support of the Israeli Navy. The successful completion of these trials provides further proof of the reliability of our technology and the advanced protection capabilities they provide against new and evolving threats.”
