Mercury Receives $4M Order for RF System-in-Package Technology

Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY), a leader in trusted, secure mission-critical technologies for aerospace and defense, announced it received a $4 million order from a leading commercial technology company for advanced silicon packaging to be used in electronic warfare, AESA beamforming and C4ISR systems. The order was received in Mercury’s fiscal 2022 third quarter and is expected to be delivered over the next several quarters.

Why It Matters
Mercury’s RF system-in-package (SiP) technology, like the Company’s recently announced RFS1140 product, will enable new sensor processing applications for a variety of defense platforms and programs while the secure and trusted chip-scale open system architecture (OSA) directly addresses the DoD’s requirement for onshore manufacturing of critical, state-of-the-art microelectronics.

“This order is a direct result of our previously announced strategic investment to expand our trusted custom microelectronics business, bringing cutting-edge commercial silicon technology to the Department of Defense (DoD),” said Roger Wells, president, Mercury Microelectronics. “As an independent domestic supplier of key defense-grade microelectronics, our goal is to partner with our customers to provide trusted, secure solutions that meet the aerospace and defense industry’s ever-increasing demand for innovation, speed, and affordability. By implementing this advanced system-in-package integration in Mercury’s trusted U.S. defense microelectronics activity (DMEA)-accredited microelectronics facility, Mercury is making good on our commitment to make commercial technology profoundly more accessible to aerospace and defense.”
