Radiation Detection Company Symetrica Wins $35M US DoD Contract for its VeriFinder Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID)

The contract was won after meeting one of the most challenging requirement specifications for Radioisotope Identification Devices ever published

Symetrica Inc., a radiation detection and identification business, announced today that it has been awarded a $35m multi-year contract by the US Department of Defense to provide several hundred of its VeriFinder radioisotope identification devices (RIIDs) for deployment across all branches of the United States armed forces. Symetrica will begin delivering VeriFinders over the next few months and is expected to continue into 2025. This long term contract is testament to the technology behind Symetrica’s products, which are at the cutting edge of technology that deals with radioactive threats.

Commenting on the award, Brett Roberson, Vice President Sales and General Manager said “We’re very pleased to have been awarded this contract not only because it is good business for us and contributes to a string of recent successes, but also because it comes as the result of another extensive, competitive  testing campaign performed by the government.  This award further demonstrates the exceptional capabilities of our people, technology, and our products, and we are excited for the next opportunities and continued growth of our company”.
