Gilat Awarded Over $7 M Contract for US Army's WIN-T Program

Innovative 50W Ka-band GaN BUCs chosen for long-term sustainment of thousands of mobile Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs) in the field

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ, TASE: GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions and services, announced today that its subsidiary Wavestream received orders for over $7 million for the US Army’s WIN-T (Warfighter Information Network-Tactical) program.

WIN-T was established to provide anytime, anywhere connectivity via the US DoD’s WGS satellite network. Wavestream’s Solid State Amplifier (SSPA), ruggedized to withstand the harshest environments, enables the Satellite Transportable Terminals (SSTs) to deliver a “Communications-on-the-Halt” solution across diverse climates and conditions around the globe.

“We’ve deployed thousands of BUCs to US armed forces for more than a decade,” said Bob Huffman, Wavestream’s General Manager. “We take pride in supporting our troops, wherever they are, with field-proven, highly reliable telecommunications solutions.”
