The Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI), a leading provider of U.S. export controls compliance training for businesses, organizations, governments, and universities/research institutions, is pleased to present its upcoming live seminar series in Austin, Texas in mid-September.
“Export controls are complex, and the rules change frequently,” said Scott Gearity, President of ECTI. “We have found that live, in-person seminars provide both novice and experienced export compliance professionals with the latest and most comprehensive instruction on compliance with United States export regulations, as well as unique opportunities for in-depth discussions with instructors and peers. Attendees leave with a solid understanding of export control rules and timely knowledge of recent changes.”
The upcoming live export compliance seminars in Austin will be held September 13 through September 16, 2021. Topics to be covered include:
Participants can attend both seminars for the most efficient and comprehensive updates on Export Control Reforms (ECR) and insights into the priorities of the Biden administration and how they may impact organizations’ compliance programs. Reform changes have relaxed the controls on some defense-related items and technology, but made understanding and complying with the regulations even more complicated. The shift of many military and space items from the ITAR to the EAR obliges exporters to learn the challenging ins and outs of the EAR. The good news is that the complex rules impose significantly fewer compliance burdens, and fewer compliance-based export delays.
“Participants will leave these seminars with a deeper understanding of the rules that will enable them to reduce any delays in their exports,” said Gearity. “Our training gives organizations a distinct competitive advantage, as once their professionals complete our seminars, they are well-prepared to minimize the cost of compliance, diminish the risk of inadvertently violating export laws, and responsibly support the growth of the organization’s export business.”
