Lufthansa Technik has signed an agreement with Air Transat to expand the use of the Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem. The Canadian carrier will implement AVIATAR, Lufthansa Technik’s independent platform for data and analytics applications, across its entire fleet of 43 Airbus A321 and A330 aircraft. Having already adopted AMOS as its maintenance management system in 2007 and flydocs for digital records management in 2024, Air Transat becomes the first airline in North America to utilize the entire Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem by Lufthansa Technik.
Launched in 2017, AVIATAR provides a comprehensive suite of digital solutions, ranging from predictive maintenance to automated fulfillment. Its modular design allows customization to meet diverse operational needs and requirements. By combining fleet management tools, data science and engineering expertise, AVIATAR plays a central role in Lufthansa Technik’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem and enhances efficiency and reliability across technical operations. Today, more than 40 customers with more than 5,000 aircraft rely on AVIATAR solutions.
Air Transat will leverage a comprehensive set of AVIATAR applications, including Condition Monitoring, Predictive Health Analytics, Technical Logbook, Engineering Analytics and the Reliability Suite. These tools are designed to enhance operational efficiency, improve aircraft maintenance processes and provide valuable insights into the health and performance of the fleet.

North American debut for AVIATAR Technical Logbook

AVIATAR’s Technical Logbook simplifies capturing aircraft technical issues with prefilled text blocks and automated input masks, replacing manual paper entries and enhancing data quality and transparency. Accessible on any device, it allows pilots to check the aircraft status anytime and anywhere, with backup processes for connectivity issues. Real-time data integration with the AMOS system ensures efficient maintenance on arrival, reducing turnaround times and costs. The standardized data structure also provides valuable insights into trend analytics for airlines.
