XTI Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq: XTIA) ("XTI"), a pioneer in xVTOL and powered-lift aircraft solutions, today announced the selection of Triumph Geared Solutions, Formsprag Clutch, and Kamatics Corporation as key supplier-partners for the design, development and manufacture of the drivetrain system for XTI's revolutionary TriFan 600 vertical takeoff and landing (xVTOL) airplane.
Announcement of the drivetrain suppliers meets a key Q2 2025 product and engineering milestone announced in a prior press release. Execution of definitive agreements between the parties is forthcoming.

The companies discussed fault tolerant drivetrain configurations, thermal management and lubrication systems, advanced materials and lightweight design, and system integration for maintainability as well as aligned on key design principles, integration milestones, and validation protocols for the drivetrain architecture.

The TriFan 600 is designed to combine the speed, range, and comfort of a business airplane with the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of a helicopter. The aircraft's twin turboshaft propulsion system and pivoting ducted fans will allow for vertical lift, efficient forward flight, and smooth transitions in between — offering unprecedented flexibility and performance in regional air mobility.
