De Havilland Canada Announces the Sale of 2 Dash 8-400 Aircraft to Wideroe

De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (De Havilland Canada) announced today that Widerøe Asset AS (Widerøe) of Norway has signed a purchase agreement for two DHC OEM Certified Refurbished Dash 8-400 aircraft.

“Wideroe is one of our long-term customers and we are thrilled to announce their purchase of two DHC OEM Certified Refurbished Aircraft,” said Ryan DeBrusk, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for De Havilland Canada.  “We are proud to support Wideroe as they continue to connect the people and communities of Norway using rugged and reliable De Havilland Canada aircraft.”

Widerøe, one of De Havilland Canada’s longest tenured customers, is the largest regional airline in Scandinavia, carrying approximately 2.8 million passengers annually and serving more than 40 domestic and international destinations.

De Havilland Canada’s DHC OEM Certified Refurbishment Program was officially announced at the Farnborough International Airshow earlier today and the purchase of these Dash 8-400 aircraft is a significant first step at supporting the DHC Dash 8 program to “keep the fleet flying”. DHC teams and facilities across Canada are engaged to engineer, refurbish, and deliver Dash 8 aircraft to meet a continuing and growing customer demand.
