Rolls-Royce Adds Norse Atlantic Airways to its Growing List of TotalCare Customers

Norse Atlantic Airways has signed a Rolls-Royce TotalCare services agreement for its fleet of 15 Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

By choosing the TotalCare maintenance option, Norse Atlantic Airways has opted to transfer the management of engine maintenance, along with its associated risks and cost, to Rolls-Royce. TotalCare covers predictive maintenance (off-wing) planning, work scope creation and management, and off-wing repair activities.

Norse Atlantic Airways joins a large number of other Rolls-Royce customers who have also chosen TotalCare – currently, around 90 per cent of airlines make this choice when purchasing Trent engines.

The Trent 1000 engine delivers exceptional fuel burn performance on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and is already capable of flying on blends of up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) – by 2023 we will have also demonstrated its compatibility with 100% SAF.

Ewen McDonald, Chief Customer Officer – Civil Aerospace, Rolls-Royce, said: “We are delighted to welcome Norse Atlantic Airways to the TotalCare family and we are looking forward to providing their fleet of 15 Trent 1000 powered Boeing 787 Dreamliners with reliable and predictable maintenance services under our TotalCare package.”

“The agreement with Rolls-Royce to provide their TotalCare maintenance solution will provide Norse Atlantic Airways with predictability in regards to both maintenance services and costs. This important agreement will contribute to the reliability of our fleet and the sustainability of our business,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO Norse Atlantic Airways.
