New Parts Buying Capability Available for Business Aviation Operators through Boeing, Flightdocs Partnership

Boeing (NYSE: BA) is building on its partnership with aviation software company Flightdocs to bring the full Aviall.com parts inventory to Flightdocs Enterprise customers with the click of a button.

Flightdocs provides advanced maintenance tracking technology, inventory management and flight operations tools for customers across the globe. While managing maintenance and inventory, users will be able to identify the parts or tools they need and, through an application program interface (API), place the order directly to Boeing’s Aviall warehouse within the same system.

“Flight departments and aviation operators around the world rely on healthy inventory levels to maintain efficient operations,” said Rick Heine, chairman and CEO of Flightdocs. “Bringing together our inventory management with the capability of buying the parts and tools needed directly from Aviall in one place is a win-win for customers.”

“The breadth of our Aviall inventory and the agility of its operation allows customers to get the right parts and tools when and where they need them,” said William Ampofo, vice president of Business, General Aviation & OEM Services, Boeing Global Services. “This partnership creates a robust solution for fleet management, giving customers access to our inventory within the Flightdocs portal, enhancing their overall experience.”

Boeing’s partnership with Flightdocs was first announced at the 2018 National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). This new capability is a result of the growth achieved within the agreement, and Boeing’s commitment to the business aviation customer.

The latest version of this Flightdocs API is now available for customers to experience, with version 2.0 targeted for release in early 2020. Live demonstrations are available at the Boeing booth (N5518) at the 2019 NBAA-BACE airshow in Las Vegas.

Flightdocs provides a comprehensive, fully integrated flight department management solution proven to eliminate inefficiencies, reduce costs, and increase aircraft uptime in a secure, reliable, cloud-based environment. The company’s Software as a Service (SaaS) Enterprise platform provides maintenance tracking, flight operations, and inventory management functionality to aircraft owners and operators. Flightdocs customers include Fortune 1000 corporate flight departments, air charters, air medical providers, fractional aircraft operators, government agencies, and regional carriers.
