In addition, Líder, which operates in several locations, including São Paulo, is now a Gulfstream-authorized parts dealer for South America and can facilitate parts sales transactions to support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.

“We’re committed to providing our Brazilian operators a range of choices for their aircraft maintenance needs,” said Derek Zimmerman, president, Gulfstream Customer Support. “These additions, further complemented by the new maintenance facilities planned for Palm Beach, Florida, and Savannah, will provide comprehensive and timely support throughout Brazil, especially in the two large cities where most of our operators are located.”

Líder has an operation at São Paulo’s Congonhas Airport, along with facilities in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Brasilia, while Aero Rio is based at Galeão International Airport in Rio de Janeiro. More than half of the approximately 40 Gulfstream aircraft in Brazil are based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and more than a third operate out of Congonhas and Galeão.

Another maintenance option for Gulfstream operators in Latin America is the company’s service center at Florida’s Palm Beach International Airport. In the first quarter of 2020, Gulfstream Palm Beach is scheduled to begin operations at a new state-of-the-art, nearly 115,000-square-foot/10,684-square-meter facility.

Operators may also opt to visit Savannah, where Gulfstream is opening a 202,000-sq-ft/18,766-sq-m service center expansion at Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport in September and will soon have more than 1 million sq ft/92,903 sq m of dedicated customer-support hangar space, offices and back shops.

Approximately 230 Gulfstream aircraft are based in Latin America.
