Contract Extension Keeps Triumph on F-35 Blocker Doors

Triumph Group, Inc. (NYSE:TGI) announced today that its Aerospace Structures Fabrication facility located in Hot Springs, Arkansas received a contract extension from Lockheed Martin to continue supplying titanium hot form machined exhaust screens for use on the F-35 blocker doors.

The award extends the contract Triumph originally won in 2013 for the design, manufacture and testing of complex forming solutions in titanium. Triumph Fabrication’s demonstrated capability in the manufacture sheet metal parts and assemblies using a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes has made the business a reliable source for fabricated materials used in the aerospace and defense industry.

“We are honored to continue supporting Lockheed Martin and the F-35 program,” said Pete Wick, executive vice president for Triumph Aerospace Structures. “The F-35 is the most lethal, survivable and connected fighter aircraft ever built and we are very proud of the role it will play in enabling the men and women in uniform to execute their mission and return home safe.”
