Engility Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:EGL) today announced the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Volpe National Transportation Systems Center has awarded a $369 million contract to provide engineering and technical services as well as financial and program management supporting the modernization of this country’s air traffic management system, known as NextGen.
“Engility supports the Federal Government’s high priority mission to develop and implement leading-edge technology that advances the efficiency and safety of our nation’s aviation transportation system,” said Engility CEO Lynn Dugle. “This award reflects our DOT team’s strong capabilities and past performance, and we look forward to continuing this partnership.”
Under this contract, the Engility team will support the Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Organization’s Program Management Office (PMO). This win broadens Engility’s support to the PMO, which is the lynchpin for the FAA’s acquisition and implementation of NextGen, as well as all communications, navigation, weather, surveillance and automation modernization programs.
