Gemedy and ACET Awarded $28 Bn, 9-Year Defense Contract

Gemedy to provide U.S. Department of Defense's Defense Technical Information Center with artificial intelligence research and development services.

Gemedy, an artificial intelligence software company, is pleased to announce that it is a part of Team ACET (Adams Communication & Engineering Technology, Inc.), which has been selected as an awardee for the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract (IAC MAC) Unrestricted/Full and Open competition acquisition. The multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract has a $28 billion ceiling and a maximum nine-year period of performance. As part of Pool 1, Team ACET will provide DTIC with research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) and other research and development (R&D)-related analytical services to support the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines Corps and other Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Government customers.

"This considerable award recognizes Gemedy's leadership in applying state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to problems in national defense," said Dr. Alex Wissner-Gross, President and Chief Scientist of Gemedy. “We look forward to serving both existing and new customers in the Department of Defense through this opportunity.”

The mission of the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) is to provide essential, technical research, development, testing, and evaluation (RDT&E) information rapidly, accurately, and reliably to support DoD customers’ needs. Organizationally, embedded within DTIC are the Information Analysis Centers (IAC), which are structured into two principal components: 1) three Basic Centers of Operations (BCO) and 2) three IAC Multiple Award Contracts (MAC), each of the three focused on either Cyber, Defense Systems, or Homeland Security.
