L3 WESCAM announced today that it has signed an agreement with European Optronics Services S.L. (EOS) to open a WESCAM Authorized Service Center (WASC) in Madrid, Spain. The 1,744-square-foot facility will maintain L3’s MXTM-Series of electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) imaging turrets operated by customers located across Spain, Portugal and Algeria. The center is expected to be operational early 2019.
The EOS facility will be equipped with the tooling required for optical alignment and other equipment necessary to ensure MX systems can be maintained in-region at an advanced service level. With a dedicated team assembled and trained to support MX systems operating across the air, land and maritime domains, customers will see an increase in operational availability and shorter turnaround times.
“We are proud to deliver a stronger, globally diverse in-service support network for our customers,” said Rod Till, Vice President of Customer Service for L3 WESCAM. “By working with innovative companies like EOS that are located in strategic regions, we will continue to grow our in-service support structure and see an immediate increase in customer satisfaction.”
