DARPA Contract for Comptroller Systems Support

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) awarded the Comptroller business systems support contract for $28 million to Summit2Sea Consulting, LLC. Summit2Sea competed against multiple system integrators, including the incumbent, to win the contract based on their superior technical excellence rating. DARPA is one of the largest users of the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), a system based on Oracle- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Business Intelligence (BI). Bryan Eckle , Summit2Sea's Senior Managing Consultant, states, "We are excited for the opportunity to support DARPA's critical research mission by improving financial management functions, streamlining business operations, and supplying leading edge technical expertise."

Under this contract, Summit2Sea will provide technical expertise with the Oracle ERP system, Interfaces, Business Systems Architecture, Software Development, Database Administration, Applications Help Desk and Project Management. This five-year contract allows Summit2Sea to improve DARPA business processes by implementing emerging ERP integrations such as Hyperion budget formulation, the Treasury Internet Payment Platform (IPP), and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC). In addition, the Summit2Sea team will further automate the procure to pay process for DARPA and eliminate costly manual reconciliations.
