GTT Communications, Inc. (NYSE:GTT), the leading global cloud networking provider to multinational clients, announced today that it has been chosen as one of a select group of service providers that will be delivering Global Network Services (GNS) to the United States Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
The multibillion-dollar GNS contract consists of a five-year base with five one-year options. It consolidates existing bandwidth contracts and services to support the global telecommunications and transport requirements of the current and future Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN). Services in the contract include IP and Ethernet services, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing, SONET and SDH, and managed services.
