Red River Wins $20B NITAAC CIO-CS Contract

Red River, a leading federal information technology (IT) services provider, today announced that it has been awarded the Chief Information Officer – Commodity Solutions (CIO-CS) Government-Wide Acquisitions Contract (GWAC) by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC). CIO-CS is a ten (10) year $20 billion contract designed to provide federal agencies with products and services related to general IT and health and life sciences IT capabilities both on-site and in the Cloud.

“Red River is proud to add the NITAAC CIO-CS contract to our growing portfolio of federal purchasing vehicles and looks forward to helping agencies improve the speed, ease and flexibility with which they can acquire and expand IT capabilities,” said Jeff Sessions, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Red River.

CIO-CS is designed to allow contractors to add new technology easily, on a daily basis if needed, giving government customers a better chance to keep up with rapidly advancing IT models, including Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service. CIO-CS will replace NIH's Electronic Commodities Store ECS III GWAC.
